Twelve New Year's Resolutions For 2012

     At Midnight, I remembered to observe and follow the old tradition of the Twelve Grapes which are to be eaten one at a time marking the hours leading to 12:00 o’clock sharp, followed by a sparkling grape juice, sipped slowly while recollecting the year’s end, coming to mind all at once, at the prospect of another one. 

The New Year of Our Lord Two Thousand and Twelve (2012) marks Anniversaries and Celebrations with Hopes for Peace, Justice, Equity, and Fairness tempered with Love, Joy, Meditation, Reflection, Foresights and Insights into the new millennium.    

While I visited the public library, I came across a quote from Gloria Steinam scripted on the wall:  “The Future Depends Entirely on What Each of Us Does Everyday.”     

In the New Year 2012, I have set out Twelve Resolutions as a Lombard resident homeowner, Illinois Victim of Heinous Hate Crimes in York Township, DuPage County, U.S.A.:

1.      To protect my personal Civil Rights and Human Rights in the State of Illinois as a Lombard resident homeowner in District 5.

2.      To stop being a Lombard Victim of Heinous Hate Crimes.

3.      To investigate the reasons why I have been singled out as a Lombard resident homeowner for Abuse of Civil Rights and Human Rights in Housing Under The Law in the Village of Lombard.

4.      To identify my Mother who has been sequestered by medical staff, friends, and other relatives for the last six (6) years, since January 12, 2006.

5.      To contact Nathan Scott Wittler whom has been estranged since 2001.

6.      To uphold the Enforceable Illinois Victims’ Rights Act  under the Constitution.

7.      To enforce the Constitution of the State of Illinois, Article I, Bill of Rights, Section 8.1 for Crime Victims’ Rights, Section 12 Right To Remedy and Justice with the National Victims’ Constitutional Amendment  for Illinois Enforceable Victims’ Rights Act.

8.      To obtain Compensation and Restitution as a Lombard Resident Homeowner who has become an Illinois Victim of Crimes in District 5, York Township, DuPage County, U.S.A.

9.      To set out new personal, professional, and financial goals in the New Year 2012 with high hopes for the future.

10.  To maintain personal relationships with others, family, relatives, friends, and associates.

11.  To keep a healthy diet, balanced nutrition, and daily exercise during the year.

12.  To pray for peace, justice, equity, and fairness for myself and all other Illinois Victims of Heinous Hate Crimes in the Village of Lombard, York Township, DuPage County, in 2012.

Mr. Roberto Hung was throttled by Respiratory Therapist Ben Aguilar at Vencor Northlake

Hospital under the care of Dr. Grodzin, Dr. Raied Abdullah, and other physicians, nurses, and

staff on June 18, 1998.

Medical Murder of Mr. Roberto Hung Mustelier who was a Lombard Victim of Heinous Hate

 Crimes in the State of Illinois, USA.

     My name is Gardenia C. Hung, eldest daughter of Mr. Roberto Hung Mustelier, Juris Doctor,

deceased Lombard resident homeowner, taxpayer, and U.S. citizen in York Township, DuPage

County.  Mr. Roberto Hung Mustelier is an Illinois Victim of  Heinous Hate Crimes who was  

abused, throttled, and murdered by Respiratory Ben Aguilar while Roberto Hung  was asleep as

an intensive care patient at Vencor Northlake Hospital under the medical supervision of Dr.

Raied Abdullah, Dr. Grodzin and other physicians, nurses, and medical staff.  I, Gardenia C.

C. Hung have incurred Extraordinary Healthcare Expenses, Funeral Autopsy, Church and

Crematory Expenses, Home Care Expenses, Pharmaceutical Expenses, and Legal Court Financial

Expenses at the Eighteenth Judicial Circuit Court in DuPage County, Caretaker Expenses for Mr.

Roberto Hung Mustelier, my Father who has been a Lombard Victim of Heinous Hate Crimes since

he purchased two (2) homes, one by St. Pius X Catholic Church and School, and the other by

Sacred Heart Catholic Church and School, in the Village of Lombard,York Township, DuPage

County, Illinois.

     For the record, the Northlake Police Department has the Investigation Report No. 98-1392,

dated June 18, 1998, at 8H50 for Reporting Officer Michael Brletich, Police No. 140, Sargent D.

DiIulio on file to document and support that Mr. Roberto Hung was found bleeding around

tracheotomy tube on the neck area under suspicious circumstances after the daughter Gardenia

Hung found him in bed, unconscious, and already dead around 7:00 A.M.

     State of Illinois reports have been filed on record documenting complaints against Vencor

Northlake Hospital abuses of patients, overbilling, and medical fraud by healthcare staff and the

investigation by the Cook County Proviso Senior Citizen Community Human Services

Department was also submitted.  In addition, the U.S. Social Security Administration was

notified for abuses of Medicare/Medicaid overbilling medical services at Vencor Northlake

Hospital.

     Brust Funeral Home and Shaku Teas, M.D. Forensic Pathologist performed the Autopsy and

found that Mr. Roberto Hung suffered and died from severe bleeding and internal damages to the

respiratory tract, lungs, and puncture to his heart which caused his death under medical care of

Dr. Grodzin and Dr. Raied Abdullah at Vencor Northlake Hospital in Cook County, Illinois.

     Mr. Roberto Hung was a Traumatic Brain Injury Patient who was injured from a severe and

blunt hit to the head at his Lombard home on December 22, 1996, after he returned home from

working at The Pampered Chef in Addison and Dominick’s Food Stores in Oakbrook Terrace. 

Mr. Roberto Hung has been an Illinois Victim of Heinous Hate Crimes who was hospitalized at

St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove, Edwards

Hospital, Manor Care Nursing Home, Marianjoy Rehabilitation Community Center, Elmhurst

Memorial Hospital, Vencor Northlake Hospital in Northlake, Illinois.  Mr. Roberto Hung was

fully insured by Medicare/Medicaid, Blue Cross Blue Shield, The Principal Financial Group,

Physicians’ Mutual, COBRA, etc.

     Since I, Gardenia C. Hung, have incurred Extraordinary Expenses on behalf of Mr. Roberto

Hung and I am currently experiencing Financial Hardship as a Lombard Victim of Heinous Hate

Crimes, on behalf of Mr. Roberto Hung Mustelier; Therefore, I Do Hereby Appeal The Denial

of Application for Financial Assistance on legal grounds under the Constitution of the State of

Illinois, Article I, Bill of Rights, Section 8.1 for Crime Victims’ Rights, Section 12

Right To Remedy and Justice and the National Victims’ Constitutional Amendment

My name is Gardenia C. Hung Wittler, eldest daughter of Mr. Roberto Hung, deceased Lombard resident homeowner and Illinois Victim of Crimes at 502 South Westmore-Meyers Road. I am writing to you because Mr. Roberto Hung (deceased) has been denied Illinois Crime Victims Compensation by Corey-Anne Gulkewicz Assistant Attorney General, even when Mr. Roberto Hung was abused and murdered during his morning sleep as patient of Dr. Grodzin and other physicians and medical staff at Vencor Northlake Hospital after being treated at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital. I am writing to you to file a complaint and dispute the denial of the Illinois Crime Victims Compensation financial assistance for the surviving family of Mr. Roberto Hung.

I, Gardenia C. Hung-Wittler, personally have to incur all the medical, legal, funeral, and extraordinary expenses involving the murder of Mr. Roberto Hung at Vencor Northlake Hospital by Respiratory Therapist Ben Aguilar on June 18, 1998, while Mr. Roberto Hung was under the care of Dr. Grodzin, other physicians, and medical nursing staff who witnessed the murder of Mr. Roberto Hung while he was asleep on the morning of June 18, 1998, before 7:00 a.m.

I am writing to you to appeal the denial of Illinois Crime Victims Compensation for financial assistance and reimbursement of the medical, legal, funeral, and other extraordinary expenses, incurred by the family of Mr. Roberto Hung, Lombard resident homeowner, taxpayer, and Illinois Victim of Crimes in the Village of Lombard, York Township, in DuPage County, Illinois, United States of America.

National Teachers College a.k.a. Northeastern Illinois University at Chicago

 

     My name is Gardenia C. Hung, M.A.  I am graduate alumni from Northeastern Illinois University, Class of 1982.  Holy Cross High School for Boys at 3000 North 80^th Avenue, River Grove, Illinois, was my first high school teaching job as a French and Spanish High School Teacher, 9^th-12^th grades, full-time, from 1982-1983.  As a regular High School Faculty, I was also assigned to extra-curricular activities after school, field trips, soccer games with the Gym Coach and Physical Education Staff, as well as Study Halls and Lunch Room activities, including Home Room Teacher duties, and after-school cleaning work for desks and classroom maintenance, bulletin boards, motivational resources, etc.  Holy Cross High School for Boys was my first employment as a secondary education teacher in 1982.

      Since 1982, I, Gardenia C. Hung, have continued to communicate and teach in English, French, and Spanish, as well as other languages by example, including Communications, Languages & Culture in training and development, educational presentations for professional associations world-wide, to colleagues and students in Illinois, United States of America, and in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada—at my own expenses, covering all the costs for research, development, purchase of supplies, materials, resources, airfare travels across states in the U.S.A., in Canada, and Europe, France, Germany, Spain, etc., including hotel accommodations, lodging, etc.

      I have also taught for Illinois State Community Colleges, Oakton Community College in Skokie and Des Plaines, at St. Augustine College in Chicago, Cook County, as well as at the College of Du Page in Glen Ellyn, Lombard, and other college sites in DuPage County, Illinois.

     As college faculty and curriculum design developer, I have applied research theories and hypotheses to communications, languages, and culture in context.  In addition, I have devoted a lot of personal time and professional efforts with expenses toward educational and instructional research and development for the 21^st century, in the field of communications, languages, and culture, as an integrated discipline which includes the processes of interpreting and translation within cultural contexts.

      In 1985, I completed my graduate thesis for a Master of Arts degree in Communications, Rhetoric, Ethnography, and Theatre.  “The Chinese in Cuba” was the topic of research and historical, ethnographical focus of a cross-cultural family which assimilated and acculturated in Cuba.

     Moreover, I have taught languages and culture as a consultant and linguist for Inlingua School of Languages in Chicago, where I also worked as a legal and medical interpreter.  In addition, I have worked as a language and cultural trainer, interpreter, and translator at the Arroyave Academy of Languages in Illinois.

     Alan B. Shepard High School in Palos Heights, 127^th Street, and District 218 in Oak Lawn have employed me as French and Spanish High School Teacher full-time, and guest teacher for In-Service Training in Plainfield, Illinois.

     Throughout these 28 years, I have actively volunteered, at my own expense with costs paid out-of-pocket, for the State of Illinois community, in Cook County, and also in Du Page County at the 18^th Judicial Circuit Court, as a Court Advocate for the Friends of the Court in Wheaton, Elmhurst, Lombard, Bloomingdale, Addison, and surrounding areas; also, I have volunteered for the Friends of the Helen M. Plum Library in Lombard as a Newsletter Editor, Writer, and Coordinator for the Community Holiday Wreath; as well as for the Lombard Garden Club friends.  I have also given of my professional and personal time to the American Translators Association, French and Spanish Language Divisions; also volunteered at my own expenses for the College of Du Page Latin American Committee and the European Heritage Committee.  The City of Chicago has seen me usher freely and voluntarily for the annual Humanities Festival and the Chicago International Latino Film Festival and at the Cultural Center, the Newberry Library, Chicago Symphony Hall, etc.; also volunteered and contributed to the Illinois American Veterans gratis.

     As faculty and research developer, I have proposed and presented the following issues and topics as presentations before the Illinois Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages and later in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, before the International Federation of Translators (FIT) for higher learning purposes and applications of knowledge, worldwide:

“Communicate:  Speaking, Listening, Reading, and Writing in Foreign Languages,” discusses the processes of communication as interaction among people to convey a message; dynamics to promote understanding and cooperation; verbal and non-verbal exchanges; and imaging through graphic visuals.  The interaction dynamics of communication involves active output through speaking, writing, and creating images; and the passive input takes place through listening, reading, and viewing images.  In the foreign language classroom, communicative tasks for listening include rephrasing or paraphrasing questions, interpreting a message, summarizing a story; for speaking activities, we are asking questions, engaged in conversation, telling a story or a humorous anecdote; for reading, these evolve around decoding a written message or interpreting an experience vicariously, representing oral reading, and critiquing a reading selection; and for writing experiences, we require expressing thoughts in writing, narrating a story and/or writing a letter to someone.  In conclusion, the extent to which our students can speak, listen, read, and write in a foreign language determines the proficiency in communication.  Consequently, we should encourage students to “Communicate:  Speaking, Listening, Reading, and Writing in a Foreign Language” at school, at home, in the world…” (I.C.T.F.L. 2000, G.C.
